About

Research interests.
From a methodological standpoint, I am interested in quantitative analysis, particularly meta-analysis and the application of multilevel modelling to meta-analysis. However, I also use other quantitative methods such as multilevel modelling and structural equation modelling in my research. My primary substantive research interest is in the self-concept construct, with an emphasis on its multidimensionality in relation to intervention programs, and gender and age differences. I am also particularly interested in examining social psychological theories in educational contexts, such as the big-fish-little-pond effect. My research emphasises the synergy between substantive issues and methodological innovations.

Employment.
I currently work as a Senior Research Manager for a research consultancy in London that emphasises evidence-informed decision-making: Matrix Evidence. The company specialises in conducting research using meta-analytic, systematic review, and rapid evidence assessment methods. I still maintain a collegial relationship with the SELF Research Centre at the Dept of Education, University of Oxford.
