Thesis Title: Behavioural model of bilateral cochlear implantation

Professor Andrew J. King, Dr Doug E. Hartley

About

I'm a currently a DPhil student on a Rhodes Scholarship (2006-2009) at the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics. I trained as a Doctor, and subsequently got interested in hearing restoration. My work investigates the outcome in behavioural model of bilateral cochlear implantation, especially when preceded by a period of unilateral cochlear implant use. I have used a number of tools viz. electrophysiology, animal behaviour and histology to try and answer questions pertaining to this project.

In 2010, I have been selected to train as a resident in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
