About

Bence Mélykúti studies stochastic models describing the kinetics of (bio)chemical reaction systems. His work focuses on a stochastic differential equation model, the so-called chemical Langevin equation. His contributions are methodological and broaden our mathematical understanding of such stochastic chemical models. Such results have the potential to find numerous applications in molecular systems biology and synthetic biology.

He holds an MSc degree in mathematics for completing a five-year-long programme of study at the Eötvös University, Budapest, Hungary.
