My research focuses on the domestic politics of the European Union. I have previously written about the reasons why EU member-states decide to hold referendums on new EU treaties. My current research focuses on the link between voter and party behaviour towards the EU and the effect that electoral institutions and party competition have on the politics of the EU.
More broadly my research interests include electoral systems, voting behaviour, and party politics.
