About
I am in the fourth year of my D.Phil. at the University of Oxford English Faculty, after having completed my BA and MA at the University of Leeds. My thesis looks at the interrelationships between literary modernism (focusing on James Joyce's Ulysses) and early cinema. I explore this relationship through analyses of the emerging phenomenological themes and ideas in both mediums, employing Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology and later Merleau-Pontian film philosophy.
