Dawn Alexandrea Berry is a Doctoral Candidate in Modern History at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
Her research examines the North Atlantic Triangle and the genesis and legacy of the American occupation of Greenland during the Second World War. She is particularly interested in the trilateral diplomatic relationships between Canada, the United Sates, and Great Britain during the war in relation to contemporary issues of hemispheric security, arctic jurisdiction and natural resource management.
Prior to beginning her doctoral studies she completed a Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) at the University of Alberta, Canada with a double major in Classics and History; and a Thesis-Based Master of Arts in Modern European History with a History of Medicine focus.
She has published in the areas of polar history, First and Second World War propaganda, history of science and medicine, and medical ethics.
