Dominique received her undergraduate degrees from Columbia University in New York (BS Applied Physics; AB Mathematics) before pursuing her doctoral research in Classical Archaeology at the University of Oxford. Her PhD thesis, The reception of classical antiquities in Calabria, 500-1700, looks principally at the role of classical antiquities and objects influenced by classical objects in the construction of political and social identities is Medieval and Renaissance southernmost Italy.
Dominique is interested in the role of visual display in the development of historical identity and public history and, in relation to these topics, the role of historicity and authenticity in the development of public historical narratives.
