About
Eric T. Meyer is a Research Fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford. His doctoral work in social informatics and information science at Indiana University focused on the unintended consequences of shifting from film to digital photography for scientists who identify marine mammals based on photographic images of animals in the wild. His current work continues to understand how shifting to digital methods has an impact on the practice of research. As part of the Oxford e-Social Science project, he studies how the digital tools and resources of e-Research are enabling scientists, social scientists, and humanities scholars to reconfigure the ways they work, and to address new research questions using technology.
