About
Context is a vital component in bilingual education. The multilingual context of Qatar is explored in this study by examining two school types and describing the structures and processes of their bilingual program. This is done to arrive at a classification of the types of bilingual programs available to students in Qatar. The project starts with a quantitative phase analysing secondary data sets about all schools in Qatar to examine variance and set a sampling frame from which the two cases were selected. The outcomes of the study will help set groundwork for future research in this important but as yet under researched region of the world.
