Areas of specialisation include (1) urban development – security for development (2) vulnerability and social exclusion in urban slums and slum rehabilitation sites. Occasional contributor to opinion pieces and reports in Indian national dailies
My doctoral thesis is titled: “Linking Asset Vulnerability and Infrapower: policing urban civil violence in South Central Mumbai”. The thesis is supervised by Dr. Nandini Gooptu and Prof. David Anderson, and I am currently writing up the thesis.
