About

My research interests lie broadly within the field of developmental psychopathology where I am concerned with the psychological and social processes that differentiate adaptive from maladaptive developmental outcomes.  Towards these ends, I have held post-doc positions in both Psychology (University of Warwick) and Education (University of Oxford) for the purpose of extending the findings of my D.Phil.

Past projects have considered:
•The impact of perinatal risks (prematurity, low birthweight, SGA) on the development of children’s cognition and social/behavioural skills from birth to age 13 years
•The effectiveness of British Sure Start Children’s Centres in:
1. Reaching out to families from disadvantaged neighbourhoods
2. Supporting vulnerable parents and children between child birth to age 5 years
