Conference paper: „Pigeon Holing Partridge: Making Sense of the Epistolary Traces of an Astrologer‟ 27th June 2008 12th May 2008 29th June 2007 8th June 2007 Nov. 2006 TEACHING - St. Anne‟s College, Oxford – Tutor - Mansfield College – Tutor Oct.-Dec. 2009 4 Tutorials with one Classic and English 2nd year undergraduate on „Epic‟ (Milton, Dryden, Pope) 8 tutorials with one US visiting student – „Romantic Poetry and Prose‟ Weekly classes (group of 12 1st year students) – „Introduction to Literary Studies‟ 2009 Oct.-Dec. 2009 2006 - Present - Mansfield College, Oxford – Class Tutor - English Faculty, Oxford – „Grub Street and its Critics‟ - St Anne‟s College, Oxford – Essay Writing Support I gave a lecture on „Grub Street, Religion and Politics‟, co-taught a class, and advised students for this syndicated special topic paper for 3rd year undergraduates, assessed by extended essay. 2009 - Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford – Class Tutor - University of Oxford – DLT Scheme In two 1.5 hour sessions I helped a student who was having severe difficulties planning essays and expressing her own ideas unencumbered by secondary texts. I have been informed that her work has since improved. 2008 - 2009 2008 - Present 3 classes a term (group of 10 1st year students) – „Introduction to Literary Studies‟ Graduate teacher training course, leading to accreditation as an „Associate Practitioner in Teaching in Higher Education‟ from the Higher Education Association. 2007 + 2009 2008 2008 - Oxford FE Access Initiative (Humanities Study Day) – Tutor - English Faculty, Oxford – „The Materiality of Texts‟ (lecture) - Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford – College Lectureship - Mansfield College – Visiting Student Programme – Tutor Tutorials for 2 US visiting students – „18th Century Literature‟ Classes and lectures for year 12 students, giving them experience of university-level English. 10 2nd year students for FHS paper 5 (Literature 1642-1740) via a mixture of tutorials and classes.
