About
The subject of my MPhil Thesis lies within the scope of the problem of how human beings can come to live together on morally sustainable terms in a world marked by globalisation, climate change, and diminishing reach and competence of democratic institutions. In other words, how can we practically realise the idea of global justice? More specifically, the thesis will focus on Jürgen Habermas’s recent proposal to re-actualise Immanuel Kant’s idea of cosmopolitan law, with a view to conceptualising how a gradual process of supranational constitutionalisation can function as a medium for realising global justice.
