I am a D.Phil research student working on French Colonial Military Thought and pacification campaigning before the First World War. My M.St project concerned French armour doctrine and technology development in the 1920s.
I am an active member of the International Society for First World War Studies and am part of the team organizing the society's fifth conference, which will take place at the Imperial War Museum, London in September 2009.
