About

I'm currently working in the Dept of Physics in Oxford, UK. I am working on Dye-sensitized Solar Cells with Dr. Henry Snaith. My specalities include x-ray diffraction, magneto-electrical characterization, Mossbauer spectroscopy, TEM and SEM.
Previously, I have worked in the Materials and Surface Science Institute, University of Limerick, where I was attached to the SFI-funded Solar Energy Conversion Strategic Research Cluster. My reseach there was based around photovoltaic devices fabricated using nanomaterials such as CdS, CdSe, CdTe, Ge and Si nano-dots, rods and wires.
I did my degree in Theoretical Physics in Trinity College Dublin. I obtained my Ph.D in Physics from the School of Physics in Trinity College Dublin. I worked in for two years as a post-doctoral fellow in CRANN (Centre for Research in Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices) in Trinity College Dublin.
