About
I am currently a metocean engineer at Noble Denton in London, and a visitor to the Ocean Engineering group in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. Prior to this, I did a short post-doc and carried out my doctoral studies in the same research group, and was a student at New College. In these I was supervised by Prof. Paul Taylor.
My main interest is in the dynamics and statistics of ocean waves. I am particularly interested in the directionality and directional spreading of waves, and the implication of this on "freak" or "rogue" waves.
A secondary interest is in engineering history, in particular the Mulberry Harbours which were used by the Allies as part of Operation Overlord during the Second World War.
