About
My research focuses on the circulation of rumours of scandalous crimes and political events in Paris during the Wars of Religion. I am particularly working on the journals, collections, and mentality of Pierre de L’Estoile (1546-1611) - the 'Parisian Pepys' - alongside trials before the Parlement and journals from across its jurisdiction.
